A: We sell only high-quality cedar trees. We select the best bushy trees that have no signs of burning or chafing.
A: 11–15-foot trees will give you instant privacy within one year from planting. Smaller sizes will take time to give you this result.
A: We plant one tree per every ¾ foot for the 3-8’ trees and one tree per every 1 ¼ foot for trees larger than 9 feet. Measure the linear distance in feet of the area you want hedged.
A: Ideal times are when the ground is wet and moist but it is okay to plant them anytime when there is no frost. As long as the after-care instructions are followed as far as watering after transplanting, the trees will continue to grow healthy and strong.
A: We dig a trench by hand which is about 1 to 2 feet wide and about 1 foot down for the 3–9-foot trees and 1 ¼ to 1 ½ feet down for trees larger than 9 feet.
A: We plant 6” away from fences and sidewalks when planting the 3–8-foot cedar trees and 1’ away for the larger heights.
A: We often plant cedar trees in areas without fences. We will secure the 13-15’ height cedar trees to the fence, but if there isn’t a fence, it’s recommended that customers provide us with metal T-bar stakes on the planting date.
A: There are so many variables as to the length of time it will take, such as weather conditions, accessibility of the area to be hedged, distance from our trucks, soil type, size of trees, etc. Generally, jobs take about 2-5 hours. Heavy rain makes it very difficult to uproot and plant the trees therefore rescheduling may be necessary.
A: It is your choice whether you want them delivered and planted, delivered only, or you would like to pick them up. An after-care instruction sheet will be provided in all cases.
A: They will grow about 1-2 feet per year depending on the soil conditions.
A: This depends on the height of tree we are planting.
